Modern Island Living with Sea Views – Walk to Everything

2 2 2

Built in 2022, this contemporary steel-frame home offers relaxed, low-maintenance living just minutes from the Lamb Island ferry terminal and local shop — perfect for those who prefer to leave the car behind and enjoy an easy island lifestyle.

Positioned in a desirable location with dual frontage to Lucas Drive and Melaleuca Drive, the property enjoys excellent access, an elevated outlook, and the benefit of not being crowded in by neighbouring houses. The sea views from the upper level add to the overall sense of space and coastal calm.

Inside, the thoughtful split-level design minimises stairs and provides a practical, comfortable layout. There are two bedrooms plus a study, with both bedrooms featuring their own bathrooms (one operating as a 2-way for convenience). The main bedroom includes a generous walk-in robe.

Spacious living zones include formal dining, a cosy wood burner, and a light-filled upper living area that opens through wide stacker doors onto a covered verandah — an ideal spot for alfresco meals while soaking up the water vista. The home is cooled naturally with cross-breezes and fans throughout.

Downstairs, the large laundry lends itself to future conversion into a kitchenette, and the adjoining multipurpose room makes a great workshop, games room or retreat.

Additional features:
• Solar power + solar hot water
• 10,000L water tank
• Garage with excellent storage
• Fully fenced yard
• Concreted driveway
• Foxtel dish and NBN availability

Tenancy:
The property is currently tenanted and requires 48 hours’ notice for inspections. The lease runs until 19 February 2026, and the tenant would like to stay on if possible — ideal for investors seeking immediate income.

ABOUT LAMB ISLAND

Lamb Island (Ngudooroo) is the second smallest of the Southern Moreton Bay Islands with excellent fishing, kayaking, sailing and deep water moorings on our doorstep.

We have about 500 residents and a small community feel compared to the larger suburban islands Russell and Macleay. Most people come here for the peace and quiet. The 1km x 2 km island is small enough that it's not necessary to have a vehicle, and many residents walk, have bikes, scooters or use the community-run Lamb Van public transport. Get your local honey, freshly roasted coffee, organic gardening supplies, local artwork and handmade soap from some of the local small businesses on Lamb.

There are many groups and activities to keep you occupied, from Yoga and Pilates classes, Qi Gong, pickleball and tennis, community bushcare days, to trivia nights and pool competitions at the Rec Club.

We have town water (which comes from the aquifer below the great sand island North Stradbroke), electricity, NBN internet, public tennis court (with flood lighting for night tournaments!), playground, BBQ and netted swimming area, off-leash dog park, community garden, free rubbish dump, Rural Fire Brigade, Lamb Island Recreational Club/Bar and a small shop. Eat-in or takeaway meals can be had at the Recreation Club or Zac’s shop.

Woolworths deliver here every day of the week for a small delivery fee. There are essentials such as schools, post office, pharmacies, medical centres, hardware stores and cafes on the neighbouring islands Macleay and Russell which are a free 5 minute inter-island ferry away.

We are just a 50c fare and 21 minute Translink passenger ferry ride to Redland Bay, Brisbane where there is limited free car parking and the Weinam Creek Development is in the pipeline. The vehicle barge now has a 50% subsidy for residents and is only approx $35 each way leaving from Redland Bay, Brisbane. The Island jetties have recently undergone a multi-million dollar major revamp with the addition of a recreational jetty for fishing and temporary mooring of tenders.

The islands are moving ahead and undergoing a building boom which is to be expected for a region only 50 mins to Brisbane City and 50 mins to the Gold Coast.

The secret's out and more people are discovering our beautiful islands and the unique lifestyle they offer.
