50 Resthaven Drive Lamb Island, 4184 QLD
Waterfront Living with Character, Warmth & Stunning Sunrises (Option to Buy Furnished)
Perched on a stunning 718m2 elevated east-facing waterfront block, this character-filled coastal home offers direct water access and your very own private beachfront. With a gravelly, coarse sand shoreline, it’s the perfect spot to drag in a kayak, SUP or tinny straight from the water to your backyard. The bay is visible from almost every room, while the dual decks make outdoor living the centrepiece of every day. Wander just 200 metres along the beach and you’ll arrive at the island’s beloved waterfront recreation precinct featuring the netted swimming enclosure, BBQ and picnic area, community garden, children’s playground, off-leash dog park, cricket pitch, tennis court, the Lamb Island Recreation Club and library - the true social heart of the island.
Warm, inviting and full of charm, the home embraces relaxed island living with timber interiors, new tallowwood hardwood flooring and a striking teal green kitchen complete with integrated fridge and Belling double oven with gas cooktop. Sea views are captured from almost every room in the house, creating a constant connection to the water and the ever-changing outlook across to North Stradbroke Island.
Surrounded by banana trees, palms, and established eucalypts, the property feels private and grounded, with excellent natural ventilation keeping the home comfortable year-round. The lower-level features open plan living, dining and kitchen spaces that flow effortlessly toward the waterfront outlook, along with a bathroom and combined laundry and easy indoor-outdoor living. Upstairs, two bedrooms with high ceilings each open via sliding doors onto the upper verandah, where you can wake each morning to spectacular sunrises rising over the sea and Straddie. A two-way ensuite services the upper level, while the mezzanine multipurpose space offers incredible flexibility as a home office, creative workspace, guest accommodation, children’s room or even a future walk-in robe - the possibilities are endless.
Practical improvements have also been completed for peace of mind, including a recently updated electrical switchboard with generator connection capability and new gutters. The septic tank and grease trap have also been recently cleaned and prepared ready for the new owner.
A double carport sits at the front of the home, suitable for vehicle parking or with potential to partially enclose for garaging or an additional outdoor recreation space, while ample additional storage space is available underneath the home.
Positioned on the peaceful and highly desirable northern end of Lamb Island, the property enjoys constant sea breezes and a serene setting away from the comings and goings of ferry and barge traffic.
The flexible two-level layout includes:
- Dual waterfront decks, upper and lower levels
- Bedrooms upstairs, living spaces on the lower level
- Views to North Stradbroke Island across the bay
- Iconic birdlife on your doorstep
- Two bathrooms and two toilets
- Generous indoor-outdoor flow throughout

ABOUT LAMB ISLAND
Lamb Island (Ngudooroo) is the second smallest of the Southern Moreton Bay Islands with excellent fishing, kayaking, sailing and deep water moorings on our doorstep.
We have about 500 residents and a small community feel compared to the larger suburban islands Russell and Macleay. Most people come here for the peace and quiet. The 1km x 2 km island is small enough that it's not necessary to have a vehicle, and many residents walk, have bikes, scooters or use the community-run Lamb Van public transport. Get your local honey, freshly roasted coffee, organic gardening supplies, local artwork and handmade soap from some of the local small businesses on Lamb.
There are many groups and activities to keep you occupied, from Yoga and Pilates classes, Qi Gong, pickleball and tennis, community bushcare days, to trivia nights and pool competitions at the Rec Club.
We have town water (which comes from the aquifer below the great sand island North Stradbroke), electricity, NBN internet, public tennis court (with flood lighting for night tournaments!), playground, BBQ and netted swimming area, off-leash dog park, community garden, free rubbish dump, Rural Fire Brigade, Lamb Island Recreational Club/Bar and a small shop. Eat-in or takeaway meals can be had at the Recreation Club or Zac’s shop.
Woolworths deliver here every day of the week for a delivery fee. There are essentials such as schools, post office, pharmacies, medical centres, hardware stores and cafes on the neighbouring islands Macleay and Russell which are a free 5 minute inter-island ferry away.
We are just a 50c fare and 21 minute Translink passenger ferry ride to Redland Bay, Brisbane where there is limited free car parking and the Weinam Creek Development is in the pipeline. The vehicle barge now has a 50% subsidy for residents and is only approx $35 each way leaving from Redland Bay, Brisbane. The Island jetties have recently undergone a multi-million dollar major revamp with the addition of a recreational jetty for fishing and temporary mooring of tenders.
The islands are moving ahead and undergoing a building boom which is to be expected for a region only 50 mins to Brisbane City and 50 mins to the Gold Coast.
The secret's out and more people are discovering our beautiful islands and the unique lifestyle they offer.
