About Paul Durden

A little about me

In 2001, Invergordon dairy farmer Paul Durden was looking at an investment property. Chatting with the agent selling the property at the time peaked his interest, two years later Paul obtained his Agents Representative licence and has gone on to be a fully accredited real estate agent. What Paul loves about real estate is the same now as it was then: helping people achieve their dreams, both with rural and residential. “From the farmer to the person in the street, everyone has their own story. I enjoy sitting down with them, whether they’re vendors or purchasers, and guiding them through what can be a stressful process. It’s working together – very much like how our team at Kevin Hicks Real Estate works together and helps each other out: sales staff, admin, everyone.” Farming has never been far from the father-of threes interests, with all the family especially his granddaughter enjoying their 15ha lifestyle farm and its assortment of cows, ponies, sheep and chooks. Apart from family, friends and farming, his other love is footy, having played for Katandra West as a youngster. These days, he spends many a late night with mates watching AFL matches. Paul, who still enjoys collecting old farming items, fondly remembers being involved with the Echuca Clearing Sale of a large collection of Furphy items that were more than 100 years old. “He was the auctioneer who sold a Furphy tank for $26,000 – which he believes is still a record.” Always community minded, Paul thoroughly enjoys using his auctioneer skills for charity auctions and charity events.
