This stunning land caught the attention of a young Englishman, William Locke Brockman in 1843.
Arriving in Western Australia from England in 1830 on the Minstrel Passenger Ship, William brought livestock and farm equipment ready to establish the area as a significant agricultural location.
With his wife Anne and his eldest son Edmund, they migrated to the Swan River Colony in 1829. Not long after his arrival in Western Australia, William applied for and received a grant of over 81km2 (20,000 acres) under the colony's land grants system. He was the ninth person to be granted land in the colony.
Here, he established himself as a pastoralist and wheat grower of the Upper Swan.
As a purchaser of this property, you will be privileged to write your own family chapter and be part of West Australian Rural History.
