46 Harvey Road Alonnah TAS 7150

There are some homes on Bruny Island that make you stop, take it all in, and never want to leave. In the waterside village of Alonnah and set high on the top side of Harvey Road, this carefully crafted modern home is one of them!

With its elevated position, sunny aspect, and an extraordinary 180-degree panorama, the home looks across the D'Entrecasteaux Channel, featuring Satellite Island in the foreground and the Hartz Mountains, Adamsons Peak, and the Southern Rangers creating a breathtaking backdrop. This is a view that changes beautifully throughout the day, from sparkling morning water to glowing afternoon light and sensational sunsets. On the right night, you can even see the southern aurora.

Built in 2018, the home has been thoughtfully designed to embrace its remarkable setting. The north-west aspect fills the interiors with natural light, while impressive butterfly ceilings create a wonderful sense of volume and space. Extensive glazing draws the ever-changing Channel outlook deep into the living areas, creating a strong connection between the home and its surroundings.

The generous open-plan living and dining flows effortlessly onto the expanse of the deck, creating the kind of inside-outside connection that makes this home equally suited to entertaining friends, enjoying family time, or simply doing very little at all. At the heart of the home, a luxurious kitchen is practical for both everyday living and entertaining, with a large island bench providing the perfect place for breakfast, conversation or gathering with friends. Quality appliances include a Westinghouse dishwasher, while generous storage throughout the kitchen and laundry adds to the home's practicality.

The accommodation has also been carefully considered, with two of the three bedrooms enjoying the pleasure of waking to sparkling Channel views. All bedrooms feature built-in wardrobes, while one has its own glass-slider access directly to the backyard. There is excellent storage throughout, ensuring this is a home equally suited to permanent living, family holidays, or simply escaping to Bruny whenever the mood takes you. Warm neutral tones, high-end fixtures and fittings and reverse-cycle air conditioning compliment a stylish home that is light, comfortable, and effortlessly easy to live in.

Outside, the landscaped 769sqm block is low maintenance and ready to enjoy, with all the hard work already done. There's space for the boat, room to relax and very little to keep you from enjoying the location. And for those who love being on the water, the nearby boat ramp and jetty are exceptionally close!

When considering location, everyday conveniences are close at hand. Hotel Bruny, the local primary school, post office, pharmacy, medical centre and beaches are all within easy walking distance, while the dog-friendly Dray Track follows the foreshore just moments away, offering a peaceful coastal walk alive with birdlife and wildlife. For families, it's a location that makes island living wonderfully easy, with children able to walk to school and the beach. For those seeking a Bruny escape, it's equally appealing, offering the freedom to arrive, unpack and quickly settle into a slower pace. And although life here feels perfectly removed from the everyday, it remains surprisingly accessible. The ferry terminal is less than 30 minutes away, putting Hobart within easy reach while allowing you to enjoy the space, freedom and unmistakable character of island life.

Picture slow mornings with the Channel sparkling below, afternoons spent on the deck or out on the water, a walk along the foreshore as the sun begins to set, and evenings watching the changing light across the Channel. This is more than a beautifully presented home with an exceptional outlook. It's an invitation to embrace a way of life where the water is part of your everyday, the village is within easy reach, and home feels a little more like a holiday. A beautiful home. An enviable Alonnah position. And a view you will never tire of coming home to.
