The front three rooms, hall and verandahs were built by a stone mason, Butcher Lee out of sandstone, quarried locally from the west side of Beonaddy Road. The steeply pitched corrugated iron hipped roof extends over the verandahs that encompass the north, east and south sides. Some of the heavier roof timbers were salvaged from the shipwreck of the "Alex T Brown". The mast from this ship is the main beam in the roof. The son of Aubrey Gibbs moved into the home with his family in the 1960's and one of his children still occupy the home today.
The house has the original concrete floors throughout. The inside walls at the front are lime rendered smooth and there is wallpaper to the living area and some of the bedrooms. There are four bedrooms, small living area, kitchen/dining, bathroom, laundry and vestibule under the main roof.
There are some Fig trees down two sides of the house and a huge loquat tree planted in, the 1900's. Mature Tuart trees (Eucalyptus gomphocephala) are extent on the property, one with approximately an 8 metre girth.
