Some homes offer beautiful spaces. Others offer a story that makes those spaces all the more special. Maristow brings both together—a gracious Federation residence with more than a century of Kalamunda history, surrounded by established gardens and ready for its next chapter.

Behind a white picket fence and framed by sweeping wrap-around verandahs, this stunning home is set on a generous, level 3,050 sqm block and combines the impressive proportions and craftsmanship of its era with thoughtfully added spaces for modern family living.

Dating back to the early 1920s, Maristow once welcomed holidaymakers and weekend visitors seeking rest and relaxation in the Hills. Today, it offers five bedrooms, two bathrooms and multiple living areas, complemented by a separate cottage with its own bathroom, a swimming pool and substantial garage/workshop. Leafy grounds create a wonderful sense of space, while the local primary school and Kalamunda town centre are an easy walk away.

Stepping inside, a central hallway introduces beautifully proportioned interiors. Polished wide jarrah floorboards, soaring ornate ceilings and decorative fireplaces capture the elegance of the original residence. The inviting front lounge provides a warm and welcoming space to relax. Across the hallway, the exceptionally spacious main bedroom offers a peaceful retreat.

A central activity room opens outdoors and connects to the west wing, where three bedrooms provide separation from the main living spaces. The fifth bedroom, currently used as an office, retains its own decorative fireplace, while the beautiful main bathroom occupies what was once the original kitchen.

Added in the early 2000s, the expansive open-plan kitchen, dining and living area blends seamlessly with the original home. Classic cabinetry, generous bench space and ample storage make the kitchen a focal point for everyday living and entertaining. A slow-combustion wood heater adds warmth, while French doors open onto the outdoor entertaining area overlooking the saltwater swimming pool.

Adjoining the kitchen, a combined laundry, scullery and second bathroom adds practical functionality, complemented by a convenient shopper's entry from the carport.
Wide wrap-around verandahs extend the living spaces outdoors, offering lovely places to sit and enjoy the gardens. The generous poolside deck includes covered and open sections, with plenty of room for outdoor dining and lounging while watching the children splash around in the pool.

Established trees, lawns and garden beds give the grounds their leafy appeal. An orchard and a wide variety of fruit trees offer the pleasure of fresh seasonal produce, including citrus, apples, plums, apricot, nectarine, mango and mulberries.

Separate from the main residence, the charming cottage offers additional space for extended family or guests, with its own bathroom, verandah and reverse-cycle air conditioning. Hot and cold water connection points are provided for a future kitchen, subject to relevant approvals. An attached garage/workshop with mezzanine storage and reverse-cycle air conditioning provides generous space for hobbies and projects.

Modern comforts include ducted, zoned reverse-cycle air conditioning in the main residence, solar power and a heat-pump hot water system. Three-phase power is connected, and a dedicated 15-amp circuit in the carport provides for EV charging.

R20 zoning adds future flexibility, with potential to explore subdivision while retaining the residence, subject to relevant approvals.

With its grand proportions, beautiful details and generous garden setting, Maristow offers an exceptional lifestyle in the heart of Kalamunda. From quiet moments on the verandah to large family gatherings beside the pool, this is a home to enjoy and a property whose scale and presence are best appreciated in person.
