About the Ipswich and West Moreton region
This Queensland region lies inland of the coastal reaches of south-east Queensland, and is made up of 13,000 km² of rolling mountain ranges and fertile valleys. It is bordered to the south by the mountains that lie along the NSW border, by the slopes of the Great Dividing Range to the west, and the Wide Bay Burnett region to the north.
The region includes the key agricultural area of the Lockyer Valley (known for its delicious fresh vegetables), the notable regional city of Ipswich, and a range of semi-urban and rural land between the two.
The region is the traditional home of the Jagera, Yuggera and Ugarapul people.

There's more than just food on offer — a host of family-friendly events, including the celebrated Tractor Pulling Competition, make this the perfect day out for all ages.

What: This iconic and award-winning Queensland event began in 2002 as all great things do — with a bunch of mates mucking around and challenging themselves to take on an epic 117 km mountain bike ride. The tradition stuck, and almost 20 years on, people travel from far and wide to have a crack at this mountain bike marathon. EPIC offers a host of event, allowing novices and professionals alike to enjoy themselves over the weekend-long competition

What: This annual event celebrates Scenic Rim region's the rich Scottish heritage and history with a tribute to the magnificent Clydesdale horse. Some of the best-bred Clydesdales in Australia and their owners make the trek to Boonah for the show, which is not to be missed by any who have an interest in the breed.
